Let's Hold Hands for the 276 Abducted Nigerian Schoolgirls: #BringBackOurGirls

"Have mercy on our daughters", a pleading Nigerian mother’s appeal which went unnoticed by the terrorists in Nigeria. Now all she wants her daughter back. Local authorities in Nigeria were extremely slow to react and the international communities are showing their support following legal processes. All of that are excruciating slow for all the Nigerian families whose daughters were abducted in April 2014buducteda .

Thus, on Mother's Day 2014 D+ thought to join the international communities and start a campaign Holding Hands For Our Girls. On 1 June 2014, 12.30 PM local time we request everyone around the world, irrespective of religious, racial and social background, to hold each other’s hands and upload a picture of your meeting on social media and hashtag it #BringBackOurGirls.

 All you have to do:

1.       Hold hands of another person or persons, family members or friends
2.       Take a picture of your hands or full picture of you holding hands
3.       Upload them on your personal social media page
4.       Hashtag the picture #BringBackOurGirls

Yes, merely Holding Hands For Our Girls will not bring our girls back. But D+ will ensure our collective voice is heard and our actions will demonstrate a global support that will certainly make the local authorities in Nigeria take prompt actions.

Also most of us will not be able to be in the front line but a team of international soldiers currently are. A simple action of Holding Hands For Our Girls will certainly encourage the international team of soldiers to do their work with more courage as they are taking risk of their own life to free our girls.

“It always seems impossible, until it’s done”—Mandela. That should surely encourage you to take a small action on 1 June 2014 and make the global voice heard.

Do not underestimate the power of Holding Hands For Our Girls and let's hold hands for the 276 abducted Nigerian schoolgirls and mark your calendar for the following event  ars of the event of abductionve

What: Holding Hands For Our Girls

When: Sunday, 1 June 2014, 12.30PM

Where: You can do it at your home, at work, at public places or wherever it is comfortable for you

D+ remained a small non-profit news media to publish positive news and heavily relies on public donation and do not have a budget to support your meetings. But here in D+ we have determinations to change the world and we request you to join us. This is the first such initiative D+ is undertaking beyond publishing positive news as the horrific event of abduction and the tears of the Nigerian mothers touched our hearts.

Finally, D+ and its global volunteers say this out and loud once again, #BringBackOurGirls and we believe our opponent is not stronger than us all together. And to the girls, You Are Not Alone.

For regular update on Holding Hands For Our Girls visit our Facebook Page and hope by 1 June 2014 we will receive some good news.
